Reflexology for Rockwood, Ontario
Looking for a Registered Reflexologist near Rockwood? I’m Jen Wrixon, RRPr, and I’m practically your neighbour: my clinic in Guelph is a quick drive west and south.
I'd love to help you ease stress, reduce pain, and give an hour of calm to your body and mind. Come see me at Guelph Reflexology!
Rockwood loves Guelph Reflexology, Too!
Of all the towns my clients drive in from, Rockwood may be the easiest trip. I’m about 20 minutes away at 15 Surrey St W in Guelph.
There’s no dedicated reflexologist in Rockwood, so people often make the short drive to see an experienced Registered Reflexologist whose entire practice is this one therapy. (More than a few tell me the quiet time in the car becomes part of the wind-down.)
So locals make the drive, the same way my clients come in from Puslinch, Cambridge, Erin, Fergus, or Elora.
Why see a Registered Reflexologist?
RRPr stands for Registered Reflexology Practitioner. I’m certified by the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario (RRCO), and I’m a registered member in good standing. I’ve been also been doing this work since 2005, although I did take a break to raise my kids. Translation: you’re in experienced hands.
Reflexology is what I do, so your session is never an add-on at the end of a massage or a facial. It’s a full treatment built around one goal: restoring balance to your entire body.
What reflexology can do for you
Reflexology is a safe, non-invasive healing method based on the vital energy that flows through the body.
The practice divides the body into ten vertical zones, each linked to corresponding organs and body parts, with pressure points on the feet, hands, and ears. When these points are stimulated, your nervous system adjusts to the touch and pressure, the energy keeps flowing, and each body part gets a gentle nudge back into balance. This encourages your body’s own healing.
People usually come to me to:
Reduce pain, including headaches and tension
Quiet stress and anxiety
Sleep more deeply and wake with more energy
Improve circulation
Ease digestion
Support the immune system and organs
Feel a deeper sense of well-being
Reflexology is complementary care that supports your overall health and well-being alongside massage, physiotherapy, or your family doctor, never in place of them. I don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Guelph Reflexology Services
Many extended health plans cover treatments provided by a Registered Reflexology Practitioner. After each session, you’ll get a detailed receipt showing my name, RRPr designation, and RRCO registration number, which is what insurers usually ask for. Coverage varies, so check your plan before you come.
-
My signature treatment: an hour of careful pressure on the reflexes of your feet, felt through the entire body.
-
All the benefits of a regular session, offered on the hands instead. A good choice for sensitive or ticklish feet, a foot injury, or simple preference.
-
Gentle sessions for pregnant mothers, new moms, and mamas with little ones along.
What to expect on your first visit
Your first visit runs 75 minutes so we can begin by talking about your health, what brought you in, and what you’d like to feel afterward. After that, you’ll pick a 60- or 90-minute session whenever you book.
Then you’ll relax on a comfortable padded table while I focus on one foot at a time, keeping the other tucked in a warm towel. Unlike a massage, you keep your clothes on; shoes and socks are all that come off, and your feet get an hour of undivided attention.
The warm towel and the quiet room settle your nerves. My pressure is firm but never painful, and as you release the tension you walked in with, you’ll probably settle into deep calm. A few people drift off completely to sleep, which I take as the nicest possible review.
Afterward, drink plenty of water. It helps your body flush out toxins released during the treatment, and it supports better sleep.

“My reflexology session with Jen was incredible. It was such a relaxing and calming hour that I wished it never ended. Jen’s pressure was great; it felt like a very intentional massage. And Jen’s knowledge of the reflexes and their effect on the body fascinated me. I would recommend this treatment to everyone!”

Questions about reflexology Rockwood clients ask me
-
Your feet hold thousands of nerve endings. When reflex points there are stimulated with steady thumb pressure, the nerves carry signals to the brain and your parasympathetic nervous system takes over. That's “rest and digest” mode, the state where homeostasis and self-healing happen. A treatment also gets blood and lymph moving, carrying oxygen in and toxins out, and it opens a feedback loop between your brain and body. That map of your feet lets me address the specific areas that need attention.
-
It's widely regarded as safe and non-invasive, and I adapt every treatment to the person on my table.
Still, a few situations call for a change of plan. If you have open sores or an infection on your feet, or a recent foot injury or surgery, or any area of your foot needs to heal first, we switch to hand reflexology and you lose nothing.
If you’re pregnant, managing diabetes, or living with circulation problems, tell me and check with your doctor so I can adjust safely. I’m all ears!

I can’t treat osteoporosis, and no reflexology session will change bone density.
But because my pressure stays light, it’s easy on the nerves and joints, which makes the treatment comfortable for fragile bones.
Refleoxlogy can also improve circulation to the feet, ease pain and discomfort, and support the relaxation that makes living with a chronic condition a little easier. If your osteoporosis is advanced, ask your doctor first, and I’ll keep my touch featherlight.

Reflexology can’t change the odds of IVF working.
What a treatment offers is an hour where your nervous system gets to stand down.
Fertility treatment asks a lot of you, and clients often tell me that what they experienced on my table, and the better sleep that followed, helped them cope with the waiting.
If that sounds like something you need right now, my door is open.

Most clients leave relaxed and lighter, with relief from everyday body aches and pain that builds with regular visits. Reflexology can reduce pain and the psychological symptoms that ride along with stress, and a single one-hour treatment goes a long way toward restoring balance and harmony in the body. It's also a well-known helper for insomnia, supporting nighttime recovery, and stimulated nerve function often shows up as more energy the next day. The benefits are relaxation you can still feel in your shoulders on the drive home.
